Autumn Term
A Window to My World

Welcome to our new Context for Learning, A Window to My World.  We are so excited to share all about our learning with you. Our focus is looking at our local community, the things that are special within our local community and branching out into the wider world and launching into space. 

In the following weeks, the pupils will be provided with opportunities to experience:      

• Asking good questions and discovering new things through play
• Learning about our local community and will be using our photography skills to create a photo map of our local area
• Exploring local amenities through role play eg. Post Office and a coffee shop
• Exploring how rockets launch using Green Hat Thinking 
• Writing autobiographies and using digital media to create a video message
• Learning about diversity within our classroom and community
• Appraising music by Holst
• Investigating how and why night and day occur
• Using White Hat Facts to explore the solar system
